USA & UK 1963

In the USA C&W was on the raise, for their wasn’t anything that even remotely sound like Rock’N’Roll. Motown was the only music that was worth listening to. However, in the UK The Beatles had an album.

Even in the USA, 45’s was the norm and only the stablish singers had an LP, but The Beatles got one after one 45’s which went up to 17 in the top 20 in the UK, name Love Me Do, in 1962, so it wasn’t a great success. EMI own Capitol Records, but they refused EMI to release anything from The Beatles, because, it was believed their music wouldn’t make it in the US charts.

Capitol Records was far from wrong !!!
